About the Friends of Vineland

The Goal of the Friends of Historic Vineland :

The Friend’s goal is to bring to life the fascinating history of Vineland and its contribution to our nation – and the world.  From a small beginning

of ten members and few financial resources, the Friends of Historic Vineland’s membership has increased in the last decade to over forty dedicated

volunteers sharing a passion for history and hometown.  The group continues to expand in membership and financial capabilities through fundraisers

and grants making it possible to produce bigger and better projects, teaching more history and having more fun doing it!  Long term goals include a

Friends of Historic Vineland Museum and a book publication detailing the history of Vineland through facts, figures, photographs, and the personal

memoirs of long time Vinelanders.

About the Friends’ Officers, Membership, and Meetings

The Friends of Historic Vineland is made up of volunteers – four officers and up to thirty directors – community professionals in business,

administration, education, industry, medicine, the arts, and many other fields.  Meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of every month, in the lower

level conference room of South Jersey Healthcare Medical Center on Sherman Avenue in Vineland .  The Friends meet ten months out of the year

to plan and discuss project work.  Committees may meet more often to accomplish varied tasks.
